Our mission statement outlines our intention for P'lovers and the screening questions that guide our purchasing decisions. Last year we added the words "mindful living" to one of our criteria as we believe those who are taking time to pay attention to their lives also pay attention to and have respect for the world in which they live.
When choosing products for P'lovers, we are guided by the following questions:
- Can this product reduce consumption, be reused or recycled?
- Is this product made from natural, renewable or recycled substances?
- Is this product manufactured, grown or harvested in a sustainable or organic way?
- Are the contents non-toxic, biodegradable and cruelty free?
- Is the product responsibly packaged?
- Does this product help protect the environment and save money in the long run?
- Does the product enhance one's appreciation of nature, threatened environments or mindful living?

Whenever we have a choice, having satisfied the above criteria,
our preference is to support local suppliers.
